Huge delays with no explanations why, spent 10 hours waiting
Because ignored or treated as a nuisance by some nurses is not an option I did not go there Because I wanted to I needed to
I gave a poor as the waiting time was absolutely terrible having to wait to see a doctor for results
I was in A&E for a total of 25 hours, it took 20 hours for me to be seen by a doctor, I was left in a cold corridor for 16 of those 20 hours, on a rock hard metal chair before having to result to laying in the floor in pain. The nurses and doctors were trying their best and I don’t blame them at all but the system as a whole is awful, people were suffering and just left. It was horrible and I was exhausted and sore by the end of it all.
Absolutely awful my husband has dementia and he had a broken hip and left in corridor and no pain relief and because he couldn’t communicate with them to good he was left and he was in there for 27 hours before he went on a ward then there wasn’t any room in the ward so he was left in the middle of a ward, what is happening nowadays it’s totally a disgrace, not a very good experience at all.
I was admitted to hospital with severe back pain I was discharged with severe back pain.
I refused to be discharged without knowing what was the problem as I could not walk I was advised I need painkillers then an an and e doctor advised me I had sciatica and I need an MRI.
He said my gp will refer me as an emergency appointment for an MRI the next day I chased the MRI to be told that the a and e doctor in his notes advised the MRI is at the discretion of the gp who I cannot get an appointment with.
I am pleased with the service
I was there over 10 hrs n still was none the wiser. I gave up went home
Staff were kind and caring - no problems at all.
There is no question of how much of my time is spent in A&E, the answer is 12 hours before the first doctor sees me. That is ridiculous. After speaking to one of your nurse who happens to be a part timer, told me the many nurses over 6-12 months leave NHS and work privately because they paid them higher.
I ask NHS to stop this behaviour. The same nurse looks like that she was new and she did not have much experience. She was about to inject me with lots of air bubbles. I would be in serious injury has she allowed the air bubbles to enter my bodies.
